Beginner 3&4 (JLPT N4)

This course is in preparation for the JLPT N5 examination or for students who wish to learn Japanese. Students can expect to be able to hold simple conversations and grasp simple reading texts by the end of this course.

1 / Vocabulary

 

One should have the mastery of Vocabulary from Chapter 19 to 34 of the 文化初級日本語 syllabus. This widens your vocabulary in the context of daily life, and more formal situations. Keigo, or honorific language, is also taught in this course. To supplement this, there will also be JLPT N4 level vocabulary taught in class following the 

新完全マスター N4 (Shinkanzen Master) syllabus.

2 / Grammar

One should have mastery of Chapters 19 to 34 of the

文化初級日本語 syllabus. This includes abstract concepts of the Japanese Language such as transitive and intransitive verbs. The grammar items in 新完全マスター N4 (Shinkanzen Master) will also be covered.

3 / Reading

One is able to read and understand passages on familiar daily topics written in basic to intermediate vocabulary and kanji.

4 / Listening

One is able to listen and comprehend conversations encountered in daily life and generally follow their contents.

Course Information & Fees

This course consists of approximately 30 Lessons per term, and 60 Lessons in total. This number may vary depending on the class's speed.

Materials

This course requires the purchase of the book"文化初級日本語2". The rest of the materials such as worksheets and notes will all be provided by Nami Japanese Academy upon enrolment.

Fees

Each lesson costs $20, and lesson fees are payable at the beginning of every 5 lessons. An invoice will first be sent to you before you make payment. Payment can be made via paylah or paynow.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to have a Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N5 or have completed Beginner 1&2 courses with Nami Japanese Academy.

Schedule and Duration

Lessons are typically conducted on weekday evenings from 8pm to 11.30pm or weekends.

The schedule will be coordinated by our staff. After confirming details with you, you will be assigned to a suitable class. Depending on the number of students, the lesson will take between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes.
